I've had a similar experience. I was traveling down to Sw Va to take a look at a 1st gen Ninja. Sold it already. It sucks.

So that was your Sonic! Pretty nice car I thought. Haha, I had a feeling it was you when you mentioned you were looking for a miata. That's why I asked what model year, didn't want to be the guy that made you drive 2 hours. The car is def worth the $3500 the guy was asking. I'm planning on keeping it until I find something better, which may take from a few days to a few weeks. Nothing longer than a few months though, usually. I had the WRX for four months and the Colorado for three. I'm now looking for a S2000 or a 350z.

I actually tried to get a friend to do something like that: buy a Miata now, drive it/own it for a few months (he has a 2 car garage), and then when I buy a house I'd buy it off of him.
You should definitely bring it to the car shows at central and west when they start up again. A bunch of the wichita oppos are planning on meeting up there.
